Salt Pans Ultra Safari

The 10-day safari is exclusively for SPU runners, their supporters and family and for SPU team members. 

We will bring you on an unforgettable journey through Botswana’s premier wildlife sanctuaries. This tour offers a perfect blend of water and land-based safari experiences, showcasing the unparalleled beauty of Botswana’s diverse ecosystems.

We will bring you to the most pristine parts of Botswana. From the wide grassland of the Nxai Pans and the famous Baines Baobab to Maun, the primary gateway of the Okavango Delta. From there you will explore by Kayak the Okavango Delta. A World Heritige Side and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. 

Picture waking up to a giraffe grazing nearby, paddling alongside elephants in a kayak, strolling through lush islands in the Okavango Delta, and savoring sundowners as lions roar in the distance.

From there we will take you on a mobile Safari up to the North of Moremi Nature Reserve. Moremi is home to the most endangered species of large mammals: the cheetah, white rhinoceros, black rhinoceros, African wild dog and lion. Over 500 bird species (from water birds to forest dwellers) and over a 1.000 species of plants are also recognized in the Moremi.

DAY 1 – Transfer from SPU camp to Planet Baobab in Gweta

DAY 2 – Visit the famous Baines Baobas and the Nxai National Park

DAY 3 – Transfer to Semowi Nature Camp in Maun

DAY 4 – Kayak adventure in the Okavango Delta

DAY 5 – Game Walk and kayaking in the Delta

DAY 6 – Start Mobile Safari into Moremi

DAY 7 – Game Drive, Mokoro Trip and Bush Dinner 

DAY 8 – Game Drive, Walking Safari and Sundowner in the Delta

Day 9 – Transfer to Sedia Hotel in Maun
